Welcome to this week’s update on everything that has happened in the Algorand gaming ecosystem. This week we have the Cosmic Champs game becoming open to all to play, the Thurstober Racing update on their project plans, a new Fracctal Monsters game feature and more!

The creators of the super-fun tower rush game, Cosmic Champs, have announced that from today, till their upcoming tournament, a beta pass is no longer needed to play their game. This is the perfect chance to try out the game and even train for the upcoming tournament.

Thurstober Digital Studios, the developers of the Discord horse racing game, have announced an updated release schedule along with new features and plans for the game. Here are the highlights:
The Factory: In the initial release of this feature, users will be able to sync their wallets from Algorand and XRP to create a unified user profile. Multiple Algorand wallets can be connected and users can also log in using web socials.
New Collection: A new collection of themed 2inyhorse assets will be released to attract new users and provide them with an opportunity to enter the project at mint price. The plan is to drop 1000–1200 new 2tinyhorses for both ALGO and XRPL chains.
Change in Drop Style: Instead of the former opt-in Shuffle for the OATS Pass, it will now be an ongoing purchase. Users can either buy the passes from the shop or win a chance to purchase an OATS Pass at a discounted price.
Free-for-all Unrestricted Mint: Around 10% of the new collection will be dropped into a free for all mint. For a 24 hour period, wallets can choose to opt into the mint and winners will be randomly chosen for a right to buy.
Collaboration Racing Events: As the developers enable more XRP and ALGO collections, new users will be able to participate and start reserving their first 2tinyhorse.
New Mint System: The new 2tinyhorse drop will serve as a demo of the new mint-on-demand system that the developers are building, complete with a custom png layering tool.
Fancyhorse Releases: Following the 2tinyhorse drop, the developers plan to release Fancyhorse 1–315 (only claimable through a STUPIDHORSE), Fancypass (for discounted Fancyhorse redemption), and an open, limited-time mint of Fancyhorse. The aim is to stress test the system and the utility of Fancyhorses across multiple chains.

Fracctal Monsters, the monster taming game, has introduced a new game mechanic called Fracctal Harvest Stones. These stones, purchasable with the in-game currency FRACC, can increase players’ PEPE and COOP earnings during VS battles. The are a few different stones available:
Leaf Harvest Stone: 2x rewards multiplier, costs 20,000 FRACC
Flower Harvest Stone: 3x rewards multiplier, costs 30,000 FRACC
Tree Harvest Stone: 5x rewards multiplier, costs 50,000 FRACC
In addition, an email-based custodial wallet has been implemented for easier management of in-game assets. Users can sign up with an email and password, and choose a free non-NFT starter monster. A custodial wallet is then created and funded to allow NFT opt-ins. Users can earn NFTs and bonus pool rewards and purchase new NFTs on the marketplace for extra earnings. A subscription fee of $1/month is required to withdraw funds and manage assets to prevent bot accounts.

Algorand Casino has announced the public beta phase of their poker app. Everyone can now access and play poker on public tables and tournaments. This comes after extensive testing and bug identification (and smashing) by ambassadors and the Discord community.
Although the poker app is in a state where the community at large can use it, this does not mark its final iteration. The team will continue to implement updates and features almost daily. Jump in and check out the app here!

AlgoPatties, an RPG game, had an epic week with the announcement of a series of updates including a new marketplace, a new game, and a new NFT series for game avatars.
The NFT series comprises 7 types of NFTs with 7 rarities. There are also 7 unique NFTs available that lucky players might snag. Excitingly, no crypto wallet is required to get involved. All these updates, including the new NFT series, are available on the newly released DropChain Marketplace.
